Feature Lessons Learned From Serving as VP Publications of the IEEE CAS Society Mohamad Sawan, Fellow, IEEE Abstract The increase in the number of publication types in all disciplines is impressive; however, the quality of publications should not be compromised. In addition, the growth of social media and digital communications activities promote discoveries and innovations. This article summarizes the lessons learned from leading the publication activities of the IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society. The main challenges of conducting the periodicals that present higher impact levels are reported. This article intends to voluntarily serve the authors and other readers.
