for its impact factor, which should be announced
this year.
IV. IoT Newsletter and Other Products
The IEEE IoT TC has other products, such as the IoT
Newsletter
(https://iot.ieee.org/newsletter.html). The
IEEE IoT TC distributes its electronic newsletter to its
membership list. Each newsletter contains three to four
articles on timely topics which have been requested by
the community. Newsletter articles are reviewed for relevance
to the IoT community.
The IoT TC has other conferences like the IoT Vertical
and Topical Summit on Tourism, third year running
with 100 participants. Another activity being planned is
the IoT Smart Cities Summit.
The IoT TC organizes the IEEE IoT Webinar Series
that is available online at https://iot.ieee.org/education.
html. One of the webinars was conducted by Dr. Victor
Grimblatt, a member of the IEEE CASS Special Interest
Group (SiG) on IoT, with the title " How to Feed a Growing
Population While Conserving the Planet's Resources-
IoT to the Rescue. " The members of the CASS SIG IoT as
well as other CASS members are invited to propose new
webinars on IoT.

V. Conclusion
the diverse community of stakeholders that make up
the IoT ecosystem. Today, that affects almost every sector
of the global economy. The World Forum covers the
breadth of activities, technologies and applications in
IoT, reflecting the wide range of interests and investments
in IoT and its building blocks.
The IEEE CASS members are encouraged to actively
participate at the WF-IoT, submit papers and tutorials,
and host workshops, vertical and topical tracks, industrial
forums, and special sessions.
III. IEEE Internet of Things Magazine
The main publication of the IEEE IoT TC is IEEE Internet
of Things Magazine, which is four years old. It has four
editions a year. The number of submissions has been
steadily increasing. The editorial board has 58% of members
from the industry. The IoT Magazine has a Management
Committee, whose members are the representatives
of each member society. Currently, the President
of the Management Committee is the representative of
the CASS in the IoT TC SC, Ricardo Reis. Figure 1 shows

The IEEE IoT TC was accepted to be an IEEE TAB-Level
Technical Community 2.0 Pilot Program. IEEE TC 2.0
offers an environment for testing new ideas and activities
developed by the TC 2.0 Ad Hoc. As a TC, it was not
possible to retain surplus. The change to an IEEE TC 2.0
will facilitate ownership of assets and to carry over surplus
to next year. The TC 2.0 can hold reserves as an OU.
A TC 2.0 also has a representation at IEEE TAB through
division director. Another issue is that as a TC 2.0, it will
be possible to own publications.
The active participation of IEEE CASS members in
the IEEE IoT TC provides an excellent opportunity to
improve the visibility of circuits and systems as an essential
area in the development of modern IoT systems
and solutions.
It is important to consider that IEEE CASS has a SiG
on IoT (see more at the CASS webpage) and that it is important
to improve the participation of the SiG IoT members
in the IEEE IoT TC 2.0 activities.
