The preconference tutorials were
conducted by the Khronos.org Banga-
lore Chapter, led by Kumar Katragadda
(on the Vulkan application programming
interface), and Google (on machine
learning), and they attracted great inter-
est. We exceeded 50 paper presentations
and had more than ten invited talks
from industry and technology leaders.
Approximately 150 delegates registered
and participated in the proceedings. The
conference was inaugurated by IEEE
Fellow Sharon Peng, director of lifestyle
engineering at Harman, who discussed
the latest trends in consumer audio. The
conference banquet keynote was provid-
ed by Bob Frankston, IEEE Fellow, on
"Living the Future, and CE in the Age of
Software." The keynote speakers were
Ajit Rao (senior director, Qualcomm),
Avinash Kaushik (founder, Revvx),
S.K.M. Varadhan (Indian Institute of
Technology Madras), and Suman Naray-
an (senior vice president, Cyient). The
conference presented session keynotes
from Ramesh Babu (Cyient) and from
the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-
SA). The Women in Engineering track
was chaired by Sujatha and included
Pallavi Srinivasa (Cisco) and Sai Geetha
(Tesco) as the key speakers. The panel
discussion on "Innovation in the New
Era" highlighted the challenges and
future directions of innovation. The
panel consisted of prominent mem-
bers of the industry: Suman Narayan
(Cyient), Sudeendra Kaushik (Prasu
Consulting), Arun (FormulateIP), Ash-
ish Sinha (Pluggd.in), and Avinash
Kaushik (Revvx).

The best paper award went to "Novel
OpenVX Implementation for Heteroge-
neous Multi-Core Systems," by Kedar
Chitnis, Jesse Villarreal, Jr., Brijesh Jadav,
Mihir N. Mody, Lucas Weaver, Victor
Cheng, Kumar Desappan, Anshu Jain,
and Pramod Swami. The best product
award and the most innovative product
award were won by Tonbo Imaging and
Aagnaa Software Labs, respectively. The
best student project (Hackathon) was
awarded to students from Rashtreeya
Vidyalaya College of Engineering, Ban-
