a two-dimensional interface when how consumers use
home electronics for accessing online personalized services is taken into consideration. A 3-D interface is a shared
virtual space that provides consumers with an immersive
experience and an awareness of how, where, and with whom
to interact.
The CCR approach was evaluated further with users and
compared to an individual approach. The results demonstrate
that there is a significant statistical difference between efficiency and efficacy of an individual recommendation and
the proposed collaborative conversational recommendation.
The benefit in efficiency of the CCR is 39.8% in comparison to an IC. Additionally, a CCR that enables a collaborative and individual interaction achieves an efficacy in terms
of decision accuracy of 70%, whereas the noncollaborative
recommender reaches 50%. Several usability dimensions,
as measured by users' satisfaction questionnaires are also
encouraging, reaching an average score of nearly six on a
seven-point Likert scale.
