techniques in Body Sensor Network (BSN)
and WSN, respectively, have been presented.6-8
Several tier-based multimedia, energy-harvesting
techniques for sensor networks, IoT devices, and
BSN have been designed.9 The joint routing and
TPC-based protocols have been examined.11,12
The impact of TPC strategies energy and lifetime
of WSNs and Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) systems have been optimized.13 An Internet of
Things (IoT) based framework for the digital
tour system is available [15].

information healthcare centers and operation theaters keep in-touch with the BSs while excahanging the serious and critical information.1-5 A
transciever radio is the building block to reshape
the WBSNs according to the requirement of the
applications, i.e., date rate frequency and transmission power level by forming a data register.
Most sensor nodes are battery-constrained,
so power management is regarded as a demanding ingredient. Breakthrough in wearable devices, physiological signal collection, and medical
information transmission through sensors, and
low-power-integrated circuits have given a new
shape and direction to WBSNs (see Figure 1).6-10
WBSN supports computer-assisted rehabilitation
or early diagnosis of critical medical conditions.
Large number of implantable devices for instance, pacemakers, and cardiac defibrillators are
outfitted with fixed computing power resources
and maintained by wireless radio transmission
features.

EXISTING SOLUTIONS
Many works exist on power control, Green
IoT, medical healthcare, Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), and WBANs/WBSNs, but still there
is a large room vacant to be filled. Transmisison
power control, energy-harvesting, and body-posture-based energy-saving algorithms for WBAN
are in the literature.1,2 The design of the aggregated energy scheduling approach based on the
routing mechanism is in the article by Zhang et
al.3 Resource-allotment and TPC techniques for

To realize the great potential of medical information transmission in WBSNs from practical
aspect, however, some obstacles associated
with size, lifetime, and power management must
be entertained. Specifically, WBSNs have to work
on very minimum and tight power budget, for
providing ease and comfort with required level
of satisfaction to patients.

HEALTH DATA MANAGEMENT
APPLICATIONS
Technological revolution in low-power transceivers, signal processing, and communication
modules have encouraged the growth of lightweight and tiny wearable devices for medical
information transmission in the healthcare
industry. One of the tremendous uses of WBSN
in healthcare is computer-based physical reformation, in which smart sensors on patient's
body transmit vital sign signals to a server,
which is running on portable devices, such as
cell-phone PDA, laptop, etc., as depicted in Figures 1 and 2.

OPEN CHALLENGES FOR WBSNS
Although efficient and cost-effective medical
information transmission in WBSN is a promising, encouraging, and potential candidate, so
state-of-the art techniques need to be developed
to make the system promising, self-adaptive, and
autonomous. Some of the challenging issues are
highlighted as follows.
