Furthermore, it is scalable and can be upgraded
by incorporating new communication, control,
and energy trading framework in conjunction
with existing features. The large-scale deployment
of smart cities is susceptible to cyberattacks
when many buyers or sellers or even
third parties may interfere with the energy trading.
The future works will be directed toward the
development of an attack resilient SEH. Furthermore,
the electricity billing systems can be
changed by providing advisory services to citizens
in smart cities about the performance of
their appliances based on their energy consumption
profiles. This will help them to make decisions
for replacing their appliances and this can
easily be done in future through the disaggregation
of smart meter data using machine learning
techniques as well as added to the smart
energy hub.
