specialized medical devices at the users' homes
(U-Kiss Infrared Wall Thermometer B08N64GTHK,
Tecalemit FMOG100 Aluminum Gear-Style Diesel

9901-B Technology). Subsequently, people are
device-free in the park, andwhen the systemmonitors
them, it yields data quite close to the average
of the data of medical equipment. Therefore, the
proposed system shows excellent monitoring of
older people without invasive devices while they
remain in the open air.
Results
In Figure 5, we describe the performance of
the two wireless technologies for vehicle alerting
in the care of the elderly. Both technologies are
useful and widely used in these types of applications.
The top graph in the figure shows the average
car number on each day of the week from 12
to 4 P.M. We note that LoRa has a performance of
97% concerning the real data of vehicle circulation,
whereas Zigbee has a 95% closeness with
the same real data from the experiment. The
above shows that the LoRa system is more reliable
in this type of application. In addition, the
second graph on the same figure shows a lower
energy consumption of the Zigbee sensors compared
to the LoRa network, but the variation of
the energy values in the Zigbee sensors is
greater. This may be due to possible sources of
instability in the system and that there may be
sensors that are consuming much more energy
than others on the same network are.
CONCLUSION
This study has introduced a sensor network
system for elderly people or suffering fromdementia
in residential areas that enable noninvasive

monitoring of vital signs and alerts of vehicular
traffic to prevent from street accidents in the
area. The main contribution of this work is the
implementation of a noninvasive sensor network
for elderly or sick adults in residential areas
and the comparison of response and energy efficiency
of two known wireless technologies in this
type of application (LoRa and Zigbee).
The system is discreet, affordable, and accessible.
The sensor network system was tested with
LoRa and Zigbee's wireless technologies. A comparison
of both technologies allows establishing
parameters such as implementation efficiency and
information delivery speed. The experiments were
conducted to assess the data's accuracy and
the system's ability to respond to the people's
needs without invading their bodies and disturbing
their comfort.
