Privacy-Aware Emerging Computing
Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) empower new
design of computing framework coupled with
the integration of pervasive embedded sensors
and communication services using
advanced networking technologies. Here, CPS
relies on a hybrid, orchestrated, and brokered
communication model that can monitor the
physical environment through intelligent algorithms.1
Furthermore, the convergence of CPS
with blockchain solutions provides new
insights toward developing legacy systems
and stovepipe architectures. Thus, blockchain
technology helps us to validate transactions
across edge networks and eliminate the risks
associated with a decentralized architecture
by providing better computing services.
CONCLUSION
This study discusses the unification of blockchain
with edge computing, which uses a decentralized
framework and distributed services to
reach future networks, system security, scalability,
and performance requirements. Our conversation
began with a quick introduction to edge
computing and blockchain technology, including
the underlying benefits and drawbacks. Then, we
uttered several security- and data privacy-related
threads for integrating blockchain into edge-computing
networks. In the end, broader views of
future research direction were examined.
