Freek D. van der Meer (f.d.vandermeer@utwente.nl)
received his M.Sc. degree from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in 1989 and his Ph.D. degree from
Wageningen University, The Netherlands, in 1995. He has
been a professor at the Delft University of Technology and
Utrecht University. Currently, he is a professor of geothermal energy and earth resources at the Faculty ITC of the
University of Twente, where he is also the vice dean of education. His research and education focuses on developing
hyperspectral-based imaging techniques for modeling
georesource systems and monitoring geothermal systems.
