Giovanni Poggi (poggi@unina.it) is a full professor of
telecommunications in the Department of Electrical Engineering
and Information Technology, University of Naples
Federico II, Naples, 80138, Italy. His research interests include
statistical image processing, in terms of compression, restoration,
segmentation, and classification, with application to
remote sensing, optical and synthetic aperture radar, digital
forensics, and biometry. He has been an associate editor of
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing and Signal Processing.
Giuseppe Scarpa (giscarpa@unina.it) is an associate
professor of telecommunications in the Department
of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology,
University of Naples Federico II, Naples, 80138, Italy. His
research interests include image segmentation, superresolution,
pansharpening, despeckling, and detection, with
application to remote sensing using model-based and datadriven
approaches. He has been an associate editor and senior
associate editor of IEEE Signal Processing Letters. He is a
Senior Member of IEEE.
Diego Valsesia (diego.valsesia@polito.it) is an assistant
professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications,
Politecnico di Torino, Turin, 10129, Italy. His
research interests include the processing of remote sensing
images, compressed sensing, and deep learning for image
restoration. He is a Member of IEEE.
Luisa Verdoliva (verdoliv@unina.it) is an associate professor
of telecommunications in the Department of Industrial
Engineering, University of Naples Federico II, Naples, 80138,
Italy. Her research interests include image processing, in
terms of despeckling, classification, and the segmentation of
remote sensing images. Since 2017, she has chaired the IEEE
International Conference on Image Processing. She is on the
editorial boards of IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics
and Security and IEEE Signal Processing Letters. She also chairs
the IEEE Signal Processing Society's Information Forensics
and Security Technical Committee. She is a Fellow of IEEE.
