(AIST) Program. During her 20 years experience at NASA, Dr.
Le Moigne has performed extensive work in the processing and the
analysis of remote sensing data, particularly image registration,
high-performance and on-board processing. She holds a Ph.D. in
Computer Science from the University Pierre and Marie Curie,
France, has published over 100 publications, and has co-edited
a book on "Image Registration for Remote Sensing" published by
Cambridge University Press in 2011. She has been an Associate
Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote
Sensing as well as for the Journal Pattern Recognition. She is
a NASA Goddard Senior Fellow, an IEEE Senior Member since
1996 and a Program Evaluator for the Accreditation Board in
Engineering and Technology (ABET) since 2009. She was a
NATO Science for Peace and Security Committee Panel Member
from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, she received the NASA Exceptional
Service Medal and the NASA Goddard Information Science and
Technology Award.
Thomas G. Grubb is a Senior Software Engineer in the
Software Engineering Division at NASA Goddard Space Flight
Center. He is the chief software architect for IMAGESEER, an
Associate for the Earth Science Technology Office (ESTO)
Advanced Information Systems Technology (AIST) Program, and
a software developer and the GUI Test Manager for the General
Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT). During his 24 years at NASA,
Mr. Grubb has worked on many satellite ground systems, including UARS, COBE and LandSat 7, expert system development with
GenSAA/Genie and agents with LOGOS, and visualization work
with the InVision project. He was also the technical lead (acting)
for the Goddard Mission Services Evolution Center (GMSEC),
which was the 2008 NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Software of the Year Award Winner. He graduated Cum Laude with
a B.S. in Computer Science and Math Minor from the University
of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in 1988 and obtained a
Masters in Computer Science degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1994.
Barbara C. Milner is a Computer Engineer in the Software
Engineering Division at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
She is responsible for the collection and processing of the science
images for IMAGESEER. During her 22 years at NASA, Ms. Milner has spent the majority of her early years working on Ground
Systems within the Shuttle Small Payloads Project (SSPP). She
now serves as the Product Development Lead for the Integrated
Test and Operations System (ITOS), a telemetry and command
system used in numerous NASA Projects. She graduated with
a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland,
College Park.
