A. SyStem Overview
The CHEOS is mainly composed of space-based system
[9], ground system and application system, and creates an
integrated space-ground architecture engineering system
through innovating technologies and the mechanism.
The space-based system has observation approaches
as visible light, infrared, multi-spectrum, high spectrum,
microwave and laser etc., and implements the observational capability of high spatial, spectral, temporal resolution and high precision.
The ground system focuses on unified mission planning, operational management and control, global data
reception, centralized organization and management, unified sharing and distribution for satellite payloads, realizing data sharing and efficient product processing.

B. CHeOS SAtellite (GF) DevelOpment
Up to now, the project has successfully launched GF-1 and
GF-2 satellites, broken the bottleneck of high resolution
data acquisition technology, and provided effective support
for the enhancement of fine monitoring. GF-3 is a highresolution radar satellite, GF-4 is an optical geostationary
satellite, GF-5 is a high spectral and atmospheric observation satellite, GF-6 is a multi-spectral satellite and GF-7 is
a three-dimensional mapping satellite. These satellites are
planned to be launched and put into service before 2020.
