the participants bring from the conference and is one of the reasons why one
rarely attends MIEL just once.

The Symposium on Bio-Inspired Circuits 2017: Past, Present and Future
Outlook was held at Tsinghua University on 10 December 2017. The
symposium was organized by the
Department of Electronic Engineering and cosponsored by the Beijing
Municipal Science and Technology
Commission, the IEEE Solid-State
Circuits Society (SSCS), Yunta Tech,
and the Innovation Center for Future
Chips. The event consisted of eight
invited lectures and a poster session. More than 70 people from various fields, including engineers from
industry, medical experts, engineering professors and faculty, and students, attended the symposium.
The theme of the morning session
was "Design and Application of Brain
