Adam Greenberg Named IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society
Executive Director

A

Adam Greenberg became executive
director of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society on 13 July 2020. Greenberg holds a B.A. degree in journalism
from New York University, and his
professional background spans the
corporate and nonprofit sectors. His
experience includes an early stint in
publications covering the solid-state
circuits industry. He also served in
various managerial roles at IBM, AT&T,
and Verizon. At IBM, he was managing editor of a publication aimed at
information technology professionals. While at AT&T, he established
numerous self-service platforms
for consumers, eventually rising to
direct all customer operations for the
Worldnet Internet service. During his
time at Verizon, he contributed to the
launch of new video products and
other consumer offerings.
In 2016, Greenberg became aware
of an opportunity at the IEEE Communications Societ y (Com Soc).
Familiar with the IEEE through his

IEEE-wide initiatives. ComSoc's training program also received the IEEE

ComSoc that year as technical activities and industry outreach director,
accountable for developing and nurturing products that grew membership and created revenue streams.

As a volunteer, Greenberg was a
cofounding member of Our Adopted
Kids, a network of adoptive families
from across the New York metropolitan area. He is a Brooklyn native
and currently resides in Ridgefield
Pa rk, New Jersey, w ith his w ife,
Linda; their two children, Joshua
and Hannah; and their rambunctious dog, Milo.
