on high-speed links for chiplets,
and Prof. Kenichi Okada (Tokyo Institute
of Technology) on mm-wave/
terahertz CMOS phased-array TRX.
■ The program included HKUST faculty
talks by Prof. Yihan Zhang
on low-power circuit design, Prof.
Fengbin Tu on computer- integrated
held, attracting more than 200 students
and engineers to attend either
in-person or remotely. A delightful
welcome dinner was organized in Sai
Kung for the invited speakers. We look
forward to reconnecting with many
of our active members and guests at

Chapter News: IEEE SSCS Kolkata Chapter
The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society
(SSCS) Kolkata Chapter organized a
Thesis Conclave for undergraduate/
postgraduate (UG/PG) students (Figure 1).
This is an annual event of the Chapter.
In 2023, graduating students were
asked to submit an abstract and an
extended report using the specified
format on their final-year project work.
Final presentations of the theses were
held online on 16 July 2023. Dr. Arpan
