in interesting discussions regarding
the complexity of parallel analog/
digital/ESD/EMC design, on-chip sensor
operation, characteristics of landside
decoupling capacitors, and operation of
on-chip monitors for power supply noise
monitoring. Attendees were also interested
in how the power supply noise
scales across different technologies and
whether the problems discussed by Nagata
in his DL are more pronounced in
advanced CMOS or high-power ICs.

(CASS), IEEE Electron Devices Society
(EDS), and IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society
(SSCS) Wuhan joint Chapter and
the School of Optical and Electronic
Information, Huazhong University
of Science and Technology (HUST),
jointly organized a virtual technical
talk by Prof. Sijun Du from the Delft
University of Technology on 19 November
2020. The event attracted
around 30 attendees ranging from
undergraduate students to academics
from various departments within
HUST, including the School of Physics
and the Wuhan International Institute
of Microelectronics.
Du first gave an exciting talk he
titled " Highly Efficient and Miniaturized
Power Management Designs for
Autonomous Sensing Applications. "
In this information era, it is a growing
trend that a huge number of devices
and systems will be connected
wirelessly (known as the Internet
of Things). However, with more devices
employed, it becomes increasingly
difficult to maintain them; in
particular, changing the batteries of
the devices will be a tedious task.
