In this issue of IEEE Solid-State Circuits Magazine, we are pleased to
publish feature articles of interest
to readers, ranging from tutorials to technology overviews. These
include the always well-received
column editorials/tutorials by Marcel Pelgrom, Ali Sheikholeslami, and
Behzad Razavi.
"Let Me Know Before Lunch!"
is this issue's "Associate Editor's
View" column by Marcel. It provides
entertaining insights into career
decisions, specifically, the success
of a long-running engineering product and its impact on the associated
engineers' careers. Ali's intriguing
"Circuit Intuitions" column, "The Electrical Length of a Wire," discusses
when, or if, a wire can be considered a short or whether its electrical
length and the frequencies involved
prohibit this simple characterization. Behzad's informative "A Circuit
for All Seasons" column in this issue
focuses on both R-2R and C-2C ladders, which are extremely useful
circuits in practical electrical circuit design.

Magazine continues to be to provide
Society news and information as
well as a series of self-contained
resources to keep SSCS members up
to date with changes in technology
while, at the same time, providing
reviews of circuit design concepts.
This includes contributions from
experts describing the current state
of affairs and evolution of a particular IC technology. We will also continue to feature articles focused on
the contributions of luminaries. Of
course, suggestions from readers are
always welcome. We hope you enjoy
