work related to the IoT toward what
could be a holistic application of the
future: the Human Intranet, a platform
of wearable devices that enables
wellness and wellbeing. At the end of
the day, the speakers assembled for a
panel, " IoT: Today, Tomorrow, and the
Day After Tomorrow. " For one hour,
there were lively, open discussions
about edge AI and its implementation,
focusing on processing units before
progressing to a research ecosystem
to foster industry growth in the (edge)
AI-plus-IoT (AIoT) space. Participants
discussed human-related and centroid
AIoT solutions, concluding by
asking the panelists for their opinions
about what the AIoT will look like
and the function it will serve in 2031.
The six invited keynote speakers
gave their talks via live streaming on
15 September. They covered topics
of interest to the design and devices
communities, as in the following:

All the sessions were attended by
participants from ESSCIRC and ESSDERC
community. The 49 technical
paper sessions equally covered the
16 conference tracks. Live Q&A
sessions for each paper provided

an opportunity for the audience to
listen to short overviews, ask questions,
and join discussions.
Regarding the educational week, we
proposed a broad panel of workshops,
as the virtual format did not impose constraints
on the availability of physical
rooms. This was something new, introduced
in 2020: while before the pandemic,
the conference could offer only
six educational events, we proposed
13. Each offered at least eight talks

The variety of these workshops as
well as the interesting topics attracted
a large number of virtual participants
and stimulated enthusiastic discussions.
Overall, more than 400 virtual
participants attended these events.
For the full conference, there were
650-plus virtual attendees, with more
than 350 people joining on the opening
day.
Finally, on 22 November, we announced
the winners of the Best
