WiE celebrated its
25th anniversary in 2022
with the Extraordinary
Women and Extraordinary
Science Seminar Series.
It featured presentations
on entrepreneurship and
cutting-edge technologies.

With just 5% female membership,
the SSCS-as well as our industry-is
missing a cohort of engineers with outstanding
potential. Closing the gender
gap in IEEE and the SSCS requires
clear and effective action from all
of us. Women must feel comfortable
with IC design as a dynamic and
rewarding career choice, supported
by their professional society.
