Indhumathi Gunasekaran is an associate software
engineer at Accenture, India. She completed
her Bachelor in Engineering in electronics and communication
engineering from Panimalar Institute of
Technology (PIT), Chennai, India. She is currently
serving as the chairperson of PELS students activities
committee, member of PELS Women in Engineering
(WiE), regional co-ordinator of IEEE WiE,
co-chairperson of YESIST'12 special track, and the
IEEE brand ambassador. IEEE WiE honored Indhumathi
with the Inspiring Student Member Award in
2020 for her distinguished leadership and outstanding
contributions as a volunteer, at the section and
regional levels, serving the IEEE and IEEE WiE for
the benefit of its members and the engineering profession.
Indhumathi also won the IEEE CS Richard
E Merwin Scholarship for her outstanding leadership
as a student volunteer; IEEE CS Upsilon Pi
Epsilon Scholarship and Grace Hopper Celebration
India Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding
academic and professional accomplishments.
Stephanie Watts Butler, Ph.D., P.E., (s.w.butler@
ieee.org) is a technology innovation architect who has
led high voltage, isolation, and power technology
innovations from concept to revenue by leading partnerships
with technology organizations, manufacturing
sites, universities, consortia, and product development
teams. She has specifically focused on wide
bandgap technologies in the last several years. Over
her career, she has produced innovations in the areas
of process control, process and package technology,
metrology, R&D management, and new product development.
Dr. Butler has 17 U.S. patents. She is cofounder
and past-chair of JEDEC's JC-70 Wide Bandgap
Committee, co-convenor of IEC's TC47/WG8, a
Fellow of the AVS, and a senior member of IEEE and
AIChE. Dr. Butler is the Industrial Deputy Editor-inChief
of the IEEE Power Electronics Magazine, a
member of IEEE PELS Industry Advisory Board and
WiE Committee. SWE honored Dr. Butler with their
highest award, the Achievement Award for Outstanding
Technical Contributions, and Business Insider
named Dr. Butler to their most powerful female engineers
list of 2017. Dr. Butler recently retired from
Texas Instruments after a long career that began as an
undergraduate Intern (co-op) while working toward
her bachelor's.
