t the 2019 IEEE Applied Power
Electronics Conference and
Exposition (APEC) in Anaheim, California, passive component
manufacturers demonstrated their
latest developments in capacitors,
inductors, and resistors. Some of the
makers represented there were AVX,
KEMET, Bourns, Inc., Coilcraft, TDK,
and Wurth Electronics.
In the capacitor arena, AVX displayed two new high-reliability tantalum capacitor families for military,
defense, automotive, and industrial
applications. While the TWA M39006
series wet electrolytic tantalum capacitors are qualified to the MIL PRF-39006/33A specification, the
AEC-Q200-qualified F9H series tantalum capacitors are designed to deliver
extreme reliability and high-volumetric efficiency in high-temperature automotive and industrial applications.
With capacitance values spanning
from 470 to 1,800 µF and voltage ratings between 25 and 75 V, the TWA
M39006 series wet electrolytic tantalum capacitors feature a cylindrical,
