Renewable Energy Systems and
Smart Grid: Technology and Applications by Prof. Bimal K. Bose, a professor emeritus at the University of
Tennessee, Knoxville, and an IEEE
Life Fellow. The book was reviewed
by Prof. Marian P. Kazmierkowski
of the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland. This review was published in the December 2019 issue
of IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine. An excerpt from that magazine

This eighth book in the series of
popular power electronics books
authored/edited by Prof. Bimal K. Bose
was released in June 2019 in the IEEE
Press Series on Power Engineering.
According to the author/editor, the idea
for the book appeared after the publication of the special issue of Proceedings of the IEEE "Power Electronics in
Smart Grid and Renewable Energy Systems" in November 2017. Prof. Bose
managed to mobilize 19 outstanding
specialists in the field of power electronics and energy systems from
around the world, who presented current issues in the 12 chapters of the
