ello, and welcome to the first
issue of the IEEE Power
Electronic Society's (PELS's)
IEEE Power Electronics Magazine, a
quarterly magazine with the goal of
bringing leading-edge practical power
solutions and the latest technology
information to its readers so that they
can be at the forefront of their engineering careers.
With a vision of keeping you up to
date with the cutting-edge developments in technology and practical
solutions, we bring you some encouraging results of the work done
in our research labs as well as some
interesting activities from Chapters
around the world. A notable development is President Obama's latest initiative to bolster U.S. leadership in
manufacturing, which is tapping the
best brains at leading universities in
the country, including national labs
and federal agencies.
