by the Administrative Committee
(AdCom) at the 2014 IEEE Applied
Power Electronics Conference and
Exposition, PELS will now have
three vice presidents (VPs) and three
new executive VPs. The VPs are selected by the AdCom voting members, whereas the executive VPs are
appointed by the Society president,
with each serving a two-year term.
The executive VP positions are created to bring more focus and effectiveness in three important areas of
development for the near future:

relations. These positions are similar
to the standing committee chairs,
but they are high profile so that they
can represent the Society as a whole
on an individual basis. In addition,
