Likewise, UFSC PELS SBC vice chair Leonardo Bellincanta de Souza (Figure 2) presented data on laboratory and commercial state-of-theart battery materials, as well as his experience with the development of nanostructured materials for Li-ion and vanadium redox flow batteries. De Souza's presentation also included development of battery chargers for e -bikes, elect r ic veh icle chargers, and also the development of monitoring systems for energy storage applications, such as the supervisory control and data acquisition structures. He scheduled, mediated and asked questions to the presenters and also from the attendees on YouTube. This event successfully reached IEEE PELS members all over the country, making us immensely proud of our collaboration group, which we call PELS Brazil. The event was also available on YouTube where it recorded 260 views, a great number for our first join event. The IEEE PELS UFSC SBC was established on 17 July 2019 with Rech as chair and de Souza as the vice chair. 6/3/10 4:36:05 PM 78 IEEE POWER ELECTRONICS MAGAZINE z September 2020http://appliedps.com/
