commercially available robotic platform may accelerate their
transfer to wider clinical use.
Conclusions
We have successfully developed custom miniaturized continuum instruments for the da Vinci platform. Utilizing
the dVRK as a vehicle for testing new miniaturized robotic manipulators greatly accelerates development. Future
work will involve improving the performance of the presented tools and focusing their developments toward a
clinical application.
