nominal voltage of 48  V, the joint
reaches a speed of 12  rad/s and more
than 40-Nm torque. The drive features
a torque control bandwidth of 70 Hz
for low amplitudes and more than
20 Hz for large amplitudes. Moreover,
thanks to the low mechanical impedance, the actuator is perfectly impactrobust because even hard collisions at
maximum speed lead to peak disturbances of fewer than 7 Nm. With these

in Rehabilitation

ing more body areas at the same time
because they are closely connected. In
fact, the treatment of the lower limbs
cannot be done without considering
the trunk and the pelvis. Hunova is an
easy-to-use and intuitive medical
device developed to bring robotic rehabilitation into clinicians' daily practice (Figure 3). Hunova is designed to
provide accurate and repeatable rehabilitation in conjunction with the
objective measurement of parameters

related to lower limbs, trunk, and the
vestibular system. The device integrates two robotic modules, where
each one is a serial two-degrees-offreedom robotic mechanism that
allows control of the inclination of the
lower limb platform (mono and bipodalic) and the seat. Both robotic modules are equipped with customized
six-axis force/torque sensors to measure and control the interaction
between the patient and the system.
