group, and it has been determined that
the performance of IVC is comparable
with the AVC high profile. The next
steps are to push this standard into the
market and investigate new royalty-free
technologies for the next version of IVC.
It is anticipated that as existing patents
for video coding tools expire, these tools
may be added to IVC, further improving
its performance.
