Conference Paper Award at the 2009 IEEE International
Conference on Vehicular Electronics and Safety and the
Best Paper Award at the Second International Sym posium on Future Active Safety Technology Toward Zero
Traffic Accidents.
Kazuya Takeda (kazuya.takeda@nagoya-u.jp) received his
B.E.E., M.E.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Nagoya University,
Japan, in 1983, 1985, and 1994, respectively. Since 1985, he
has worked at Advanced Tele communication Research
Laboratories and at KDD R&D Laboratories, Japan. In 1995,
he started a research group for signal processing applications at
Nagoya University. His main focus is investigating driving
behavior using data centric approaches, utilizing signal corpora
of real driving behavior. He is currently a professor at the
Institutes of Innovation for Future Society, Nagoya University.
He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE
Intelligent Transportation Systems Society. He is a Senior
Member of the IEEE.
