Engineering Practice and IEEE Transactions on Intelligent
Transportation Systems. His research focuses on constrained
optimal control and verification methods, applied to autonomous and semiautonomous mobile systems, cooperative
driving, and intelligent vehicles. He is involved in a range of
projects, in cooperation with industry, focusing on autonomous driving, cooperative driving, and vehicle dynamics control. He is a Member of the IEEE.
Henk Wymeersch (henkw@chalmers.se) received his M.S.
degree in computer science in 2001 and his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering/applied sciences in 2005, both from Ghent
University, Belgium. He is a professor of communication systems with the Department of Signals and Systems, Chalmers
University of Technology, Sweden. Prior to joining Chalmers, he
was a postdoctoral researcher from 2005 to 2009 with the
Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been an associate
editor of IEEE Communication Letters (2009-2013), IEEE
Transactions on Wireless Communications (since 2013), and
IEEE Transactions on Communications (since 2016). His current research interests include cooperative systems and intelligent transportation.
