Kenji Nose-Filho (kenji.nose@ufabc.edu.br) received his
B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from São
Paulo State University, Brazil, in 2008 and 2011, respectively.
He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Campinas
(UNICAMP), Brazil, in 2015. From 2015 to 2017, he was a
postdoctoral researcher with UNICAMP. His main research
interest is in digital signal processing with applications in geophysics, time-series forecasting, and image processing. He has
been an assistant professor at the Engineering, Modeling and
Applied Social Sciences Center at the Federal University of
ABC, Santo André, Brazil, since 2017.
André Kazuo Takahata (andre.t@ufabc.edu.br) received his
B.S., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the
University of Campinas, Brazil, in 2005, 2009, and 2014, respectively. His main research interest is in digital signal processing,
especially its application to seismic data analysis, image processing, and brain-computer interface. He has been an assistant professor at the Engineering, Modeling, and Applied Social Sciences
Center at the Federal University of ABC since 2016.
Renato Lopes (rlopes@decom.fee.unicamp.br) received
his B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the
University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, in 1995 and
1997, respectively. He received an M.Sc. degree in mathematics and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the
Georgia Institute of Technology in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He is currently an associate professor and head of undergraduate affairs at the School of Electrical and Computer
Engineering at UNICAMP. His main research interest is in
digital signal processing, especially its application to communication systems and to seismic data analysis.
João Marcos Travassos Romano (jmtromano@decom.fee
.unicamp.br) received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical
engineering from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP),
Brazil, in 1981 and 1984, respectively. He received his Ph.D.
degree from the University of Paris-Orsay, France, in 1987.
From 2000 to 2004, he was the president of the Brazilian
Communications Society. He is currently a full professor and the
director of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering
at UNICAMP. His research interests concern signal processing
theory and methods, especially adaptive filtering, blind deconvolution, and source separation, with applications in different
problems such as telecommunications, geophysics, etc.
