system cost. This is because the
system uses a greater number of
devices for performing an increased
number of instructions in the given
delay and energy thresholds. Figure
2(a) also shows the impact of
delay on the system cost. We can
minimize the system cost by
increasing the delay threshold for
an increased number of instructions.
The delay threshold

varied
from 300 to 1,000. These values
can be adjusted based on the
requirements of use case. The
results show that the cost of the
system depends on the delay
threshold, number, and cost of different types of devices.
Figure 2(b) and (c) demonstrates the impact of the number
of instructions on the number of devices. Figure 2(b)
shows that the number of type 1 devices increases with
respect to the number of instructions to be performed. It

the number of devices which,
in turn, minimizes the cost of the
system. The impact of the number
of instructions on type 2 devices is
shown in Figure 2(c). Type 2 devices
also increase in number with
respect to the number of instructions,
but we can see a very minimal
increase compared to type 1
devices. This is because the cost of
type 2 devices is higher than type 1
devices, so the system considers
fewer type 2 devices to minimize
the system cost.
Conclusion and Future Work
In this article, an LCDT method for smart building data
is proposed. Compression-decompression models based
on DL estimate the energy and communication delay for
