SSCS/EDS Baltimore Joint Chapter Hosts
Fifth Annual Fall Mini-Colloquium

On 12 October 2016, the Baltimore joint
Chapter of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits
Society (SSCS) and the IEEE Electron
Devices Society (EDS) hosted their fifth
annual Fall Mini-Colloquium (MQ). The
SSCS was the primary sponsor of this
year's MQ, and the topic was circuit
and device aspects of quantum computing. Forty-seven IEEE Members and
guests attended this day-long event,
with participants from industry, government, and academia (including students). The venue was the American
Center for Physics in College Park,
Maryland, located between Baltimore
and Washington, D.C., within walking
distance of the University of Maryland
(UM), College Park, campus.
The event featured a variety of
experts in multiple aspects of the field
of quantum computing: superconducting electronics, optical computing, and ion traps. A full list of speakers and their topics is provided here,
