The successful senior candidate should be an established researcher
with a sustained record of funding, peer reviewed publications, and
strong technical leadership. Outstanding candidates at the assistant
professor level will also be considered. Successful candidates will be
expected to develop strong independent research programs and to
excel in teaching in both our undergraduate and graduate programs.
QuAliFiCATioNS:

The Department of Electrical Engineering within the Division of Engineering
and Applied Sciences at Caltech invites applications for an untenured tenuretrack position at the assistant or associate professor level. We are seeking
highly qualified candidates committed to a career in research, scholarship, and
teaching. The successful candidate will have the ability to initiate and pursue
an independent research program in significant areas of scholarly study, and to
contribute substantially to the education of Caltech students. The search is in the
broadly-defined area of EE-systems. Research areas of interest include, but are not
restricted to, signal processing, communications and information theory, control
systems, networks, optimization, machine learning, large data systems, power
systems, robotics and autonomous systems and cyber-physical systems.
Candidates are required to submit a current CV, research and teaching statements,
copies of key publications, and a list of three to six references. Interested
applicants are encouraged to submit their application by December 15, 2013,
although all applications received until January 15, 2014 will be reviewed by the
search committee.
Initial appointment at the assistant professor level is for four years and contingent
on completion of the PhD degree. Exceptionally qualified candidates may also be
considered at the tenured, full professor level.

Northeastern's ECE department has 47 faculty with established
areas of excellence in sensing and imaging (with an NSF ERC),
communications and digital signal processing, power and control
systems, power electronics, RF/microwave magnetic materials
and device technologies. The Department is a member of the NSF
Engineering Research Center for Ultra-wide-area Resilient Electric
Energy Transmission Networks.

Faculty Positions in Biomedical Image Processing
The University of Minnesota's College of Science and Engineering in
collaboration with the University's Center for Magnetic Resonance
Research (CMRR) and the Department of Radiology in the Medical School
seek tenure-track or tenured faculty in the area of biomedical image
processing. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree and a distinguished
record of scholarship in an appropriate discipline in engineering, science
or mathematics. Strong commitments to cross-disciplinary collaboration
in research and teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs
are necessary. Solid foundations in mathematical signal and image
processing with demonstrated record of innovation in applications in
domains such as magnetic resonance imaging, multimodal imaging,
and connectionist models based on emerging imaging techniques
are of particular interest. The primary faculty appointments will be in a
department of the College of Science and Engineering with possible
graduate appointments in a department of the Medical School.
