The School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering
(SEIEE) invites applications for faculty at Shanghai Jiao Tong
University in the following thrust areas: Electrical Engineering, with
emphasis in smart grids (area #1); Control Science and Engineering
(area #2); Electronic Engineering (area #3); Scientific Instruments
(area #4); and Computer Science (area #5). Outstanding applicants
at all ranks will be considered.
Qualifications: All successful candidates must have a Ph.D. degree or
equivalent in a relevant field. Candidates for regular faculty positions
must provide evidences of quality teaching and outstanding research;
while applicants for research-track faculty positions are expected to
conduct high impact research, establish research collaborations, and
supervise graduate students. Salary level will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

BUILDING ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
DESIGN FACULTY

The Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construc�on Management
(CAECM) Department invites applica�ons for a full-�me faculty posi�on
beginning September 1, 2013. The successful candidate will be oﬀered either
an instructor appointment or professorial rank depending on the terminal
degree held.
We are seeking an Engineer with experience in building electrical systems
design to lead the Building Electrical Power Systems (BEPS) technical
specialty within MSOE's ABET-accredited Architectural Engineering (AE)
Bachelor's of Science degree program. The successful candidate must be
able to teach undergraduate courses in both building power distribu�on and
communica�ons and ligh�ng. The posi�on also requires an understanding of
building and electrical codes. In addi�on to teaching undergraduate courses in
building electrical power distribu�on, building communica�ons systems, and
basic ligh�ng, the faculty member is expected to help develop new courses in
his or her discipline as required; perform academic advising du�es; par�cipate
in academic learning outcomes assessment for courses taught; and to maintain
suﬃcient scholarship in his or her area of technical exper�se so as to remain
current in the classroom. Some addi�onal department and ins�tu�onal
service requirements, such as commi�ee work, is also expected on a limited
basis. Prior teaching at the college level is a plus, but is not required.
The qualiﬁed applicant will have the minimum of a Master's degree in Electrical
or Architectural Engineering, or a closely related ﬁeld. A PhD is preferred.
Professional Engineering licensure is strongly preferred. The successful
applicant will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of industrial experience in
building electrical systems design.

M.D. Anderson Endowed Professorship
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) invites
applications from exceptional candidates for an endowed position at the
level of Full professor. This position is open to applicants in all areas
of Electrical and Computer Engineering. We are particularly interested
in candidates whose research is applicable to Healthcare and Energy.
Houston is a major hub of energy related industries and research. It is also
home to the world's largest medical complex - the Texas Medical Center.
Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree. Successful applicants will
have an exceptional record of externally funded research, peer-reviewed
publications, technology translation, ability to lead cross-disciplinary
teams, and instructional innovation. The department is undergoing an
exciting period of research growth driven by rising research expenditures,
NRC rankings, a Carnegie Tier 1 status, and growing linkages with the
