Harvey Mudd College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty
position in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Communications.
As a premier undergraduate general engineering program, the Department
of Engineering seeks candidates with experience and knowledge in
applications of communications who can support a broadly based
curriculum focused on design, systems engineering, and engineering
science. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in electrical
engineering or a related field, and a demonstrated commitment to
teaching excellence. Industrial or other practical experience in the field is
valued but not required. The anticipated appointment is at the assistant
professor level.
Teaching duties include participating in the design, systems, and
engineering science course sequences, supervising sponsored
projects in the Engineering Clinic program, and developing courses in
communications and information theory. Candidates should provide
evidence of excellence in teaching and an interest in engaging with
undergraduate students in research, consulting, or other forms of
professional development.
Candidates are encouraged to describe in the cover letter the nature
of their commitment to and experience broadening participation of
underrepresented groups in engineering. Candidates from groups
traditionally underrepresented in engineering are encouraged to apply.

MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY FACULTY POSITIONS
The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) seeks
candidates for faculty positions starting in September 2016. Appointment will
be at the assistant or untenured associate professor level. In special cases, a
senior faculty appointment may be possible. Faculty duties include teaching at the
undergraduate and graduate levels, research, and supervision of student research.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and computer science or a
related field by the start of employment. We will consider candidates with research
and teaching interests in any area of electrical engineering and computer science.
Candidates must register with the EECS search website at https://eecs-search.
eecs.mit.edu/, and must submit application materials electronically to this website.
Candidate applications should include a description of professional interests and
goals in both teaching and research. Each application should include a curriculum
vitae and the names and addresses of three or more individuals who will provide
letters of recommendation. Letter writers should submit their letters directly to
MIT, preferably on the website or by mailing to the address below. Complete

considered complete only when both the applicant materials and at least three
