Roba Abbas is a senior lecturer of operations

the School for the Future of Innovation in Society,

Her research is focused on methodological
approaches to complex socio-technical systems

Jeremy Pitt is a professor of intelligent and selforganizing
systems at the Department of Electrical
and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College
London, SW7 2BT London, U.K. He is a Fellow of the
British Computer Society (BCS) and the Institute for
Engineering and Technology (IET) and a Member
of IEEE. He is currently the editor-in-chief of IEEE
Technology and Society Magazine.
Kathleen Vogel is a professor at the School
for the Future of Innovation in Society, Arizona State
University, Tempe, AZ 85287 USA. She is a senior
global futures scientist with the Walton Center for
Planetary Health (WCPH), Arizona State University,
Tempe, AZ, USA. She has served in the U.S.
Department of State as a Jefferson Science Fellow
in the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking
in Persons and as William C. Foster Fellow in the
Office of Proliferation Threat Reduction in the
Bureau of Nonproliferation. Vogel has a PhD in
biophysical chemistry from Princeton University,
