activation feeling states. As a sense of
attachment surfaces, the user exhibits feelings of love, and the emotional
experience further intensifies.
Our study shows that some
IT artifacts can be used passionately and that users may prefer
them over others that may be even
computationally superior. Among
the main reasons, our findings
suggest that it is because such devices
are compelling and irresistible to
the average user, who appears ready
to sacrifice technological features
and capabilities for the sake of portability, intuitiveness and a superior
user experience.
