our attention is an exhibit currently touring museums in
the United States called the Great Animal Orchestra. The
exhibit incorporates spectrograms of animal sounds and
audio recordings and is presented in an immersive space that
stimulates one's senses to transport an audience to faraway
places in rain forests, oceans, deserts, and arctic environments.
Children and adults who may not possess an STEM
background are enjoying this experience and being introduced
to engaging approaches to visualize complex data. We
hope you have an opportunity to see this wonderful exhibit
with your family.

champion of IEEE WIE.
Introducing our readers to diverse career opportunities is
a great way to empower individuals to see how exciting and
rewarding a professional career in STEM can be. It also helps
influence public perception to appreciate that women are participating
in every professional arena.
In this spirit, we ask, " What celebration would be complete
without fireworks? " Jolene Destefano is a pyrotechnician
who creates firework displays for thousands to enjoy, and we
were very excited to talk with her for this 25th WIE birthday
celebration issue.
Finally, congratulations to IEEE WIE Magazine for
being awarded another APEX award for publication excellence!
