vein, selecting roughly 40 SNPs and
analyzing them in the lab herself using
a process called polymerase chain reaction (PCR). PCR is a technique that
amplifies a few copies of DNA across
several thousands of degrees of magnitude. It is based on the natural process of DNA replication even though it
occurs in a lab. This "molecular photocopying" is fast and inexpensive. These
