M&R Announces Winners of its 'Finish
First with Kruzer!' Competition

M&R, Glen Ellyn, Ill., recently announced
the final results for the two-day "Finish First
with Kruzer!" competition, held Jan. 16-18 at
the 2015 Imprinted Sportswear Shows (ISS)
in Long Beach.
During a two-day period, eight randomly selected teams of two (four teams per day) competed, with each day's winner taking home a new
Kruzer manual screen-printing press.
The winners on day one were Victor
Delgadillo and Jose Maldonado of American Printworks, Los Angeles. Day two's winners were Luan Dinh Le and Gil Tibayan
of X-Press Tees, Honolulu. Delgadillo and
Maldonado assembled their Kruzer in 46:32,
while Dinh Le and Tibayan posted a finish
time of 36:28.
"We thought the 2015 Imprinted Sportswear Show in Long Beach was a great venue to
show off that ease of assembly through the 'Finish First with Kruzer!' competition," says Rich

Hoffman, CEO of M&R. "Team members were
given the opportunity to watch our Kruzer assembly video and browse the manual before
assembling the press. The video covers every
aspect of the process, so we fully expected fast
assembly times. Even so, we were all amazed
that two people new to the Kruzer could assemble one in just over half an hour. It speaks
both to the design of the press and the speed
and talent of Luan and Gil of X-Press Tees."
The Kruzer press includes tapered roller
bearing-supported upper and lower carousels,
a precise micro-registration system, machined
center shaft and three-point pallet-leveling
system. Kruzer's lever-adjusted off-contact
system operates vertically, eliminating the
need for a separate angle adjustment. Kruzer
is available in a six-color/four-station model, and it's designed to fit through a 31-inch
doorway when disassembled. Side-screen
holders and solid aluminum, low-profile,
rubber-coated pallets are standard.

the addition of Next Level Apparel and introduced Weatherproof Vintage to the promotional apparel industry. "Our
customers asked for Next
Level," says Margaret Crow,
director of marketing, S&S
Activewear. "Their styles are
trendy basics with superior
printability and soft, comfortable styling. The Weatherproof
Vintage styles are plaid, denim,
chambray, camo and corduroy woven shirts. Plaids are
so trendy at retail and on the
street right now, and they got
a lot of attention at the [trade]
shows. In addition to the wovens, the collection includes
cotton and cotton/cashmere
sweaters."
| Stahls', St. Clair Shores,
Mich., recently upgraded its
website. The site has been
reorganized and expanded to
make finding products and information easier. Product and
services categories have been
renamed and repositioned to
be more user-friendly. Accessories, software, samples and
kits are now grouped with the
product with which they would
be used. Also, product pages
feature suggestions of additional supplies that could be
needed. Filters allow customers to find specific products
faster and a new "favorites"
feature allows for bookmarking
products, videos and articles
so that they can be retrieved
quickly in the future. There's
also a new help and education
area.
| Melco, Denver, has launched
DesignShop V10. The new
digitizing software boasts outstanding vector compatibility
and 25 premium embroidery
fonts that were selected based
on industry demand, according
to the company. In addition to
upper and lowercase standard
alphabet characters, fonts include numbers, symbols and
Euro characters. The software
also is compatible with current
EPS files and backwards compatible with older EPS files.
DesignShop V10 also features
new file support that is compatible with ART and EMB files,
updated thread charts, and it is
compatible with Windows 7,
Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
