To lighten wrinkles, one way to edit the
image is to use the Healing Brush tool. Make
a duplicate layer of your original image, then
work on the new layer. The Healing Brush tool
looks similar to a Band-Aid with a dotted arch.
Choose a soft-edged brush, and start with
a 20-pixel size brush, 26% hardness, 25%
spacing with a Normal brush style. Make sure
the Content-Aware setting is shown in the
top menu bar. Then simply draw a line over
an area you want to clean up. Th at's the ease
of this tool! Feel like the brush is covering up
too much? You can change the brush style
from normal to multiple for lighter coverage.
To brighten tired or yellow eyes, use the
Dodge and Burn tools. The Dodge tool will
lighten while the Burn tool will darken. We
are going to focus on brightening the whites.
From the main tool bar, select the Dodge tool
(it looks like a lollipop) to make adjustments.
Your brush size should be set to 38 pixels with
a hardness level of 0. The Range should be set
to midtones - this keeps the focus from going
too light or removing the dark areas of the eye.
You want to lighten the gray and bring it to a
white level, so select 51% as the Exposure setting. You may need to experiment to figure out
what settings are going to give you the results
you are looking to achieve.

There are many ways to photo edit and
there is no wrong way to fi x an image. The
above tricks are just a few quick and easy
ways to tackle common image challenges that
you may encounter when working with photos from customers. I hope these help you to
spend less time on fi xing up a photo and more
time growing your sublimation business!
