Holloway Outerwear
Augusta Sportswear Group (ASG),
Augusta, Georgia, now offers two additions
to the Holloway brand: the Deviate soft-shell
jacket and Electrify 1⁄2 -zip pullover.
Both products deliver three key benefits:

Delivering on two trends, the Electrify 1⁄2 zip pullover features a snowy-heather body
with solid, smooth knit inserts on the shoulder and top of the sleeve for a sideline-ready
look. With 18 colors flexible enough to fit any
team, its two-color heather pattern is ideal
for printing deep and brilliant colors without
bleeding or fading, according to the company.
The Electrify is available in youth, ladies'
and adult sizes.
"Right now, heather is huge," says Derek
Ernst, vice president of marketing, ASG,
"and the Electrify is one of the most exciting
heather fabrics we've ever introduced. Add in
that half-zipper look and function, and the
Electrify is 100% on point with where sport

Remembers Founder
Sportsman Cap & Bag, Shawnee, Kansas,
recently had employees gather to celebrate
the memory of company founder Abe
Yeddis on what would have been his 100th
birthday.
Yeddis and his father founded the
company more than 80 years ago. Today,
Yeddis' grandson, Dan Saferstein, runs the
company. He also employs his brothers, Jon
and Phil Saferstein, and his uncle, Bruce
Blackman.
"My grandfather and the way he ran
this business were very inspirational to
me, especially when I took over," Dan
Saferstein says. "He had a clear vision and
wasn't afraid of change. And that's how I
try to run the business now."
Sportsman Cap & Bag began in Kansas
City, Missouri, on New Year's Day in 1937
as Pioneer Cap Co. During the following
decades, Yeddis strategically turned that
initial investment into a thriving company.
Dan Saferstein joined the family business

in the 1990s. At a time when any available
space became a canvas for personal expression, he saw a growth industry in providing
blank caps ready for team symbols, corporate logos or other designs, according to the
company.
Today, Sportsman Cap & Bag is a cooperative of headwear manufacturers and
distributors unified under a network banner, enabling a large collection of brands in

Sandlot Sports LLC, an apparel decorating and retail business whose
website is powered by InkSoft software, was recently recognized with two
awards by the Michigan Small Business
Development Center (SBDC). Founded
by Ryan Dost and Adam McCauley,
the shop, which is located in Saginaw,
Michigan, was named the 2017 Best
Small Business for the Great Lakes Bay
Region. It also received the Main Street
USA Award as part of the Michigan
Celebrates Small Business awards program. Sandlot Sports was selected out of
close to 5,500 small businesses statewide
for the Small Business Award and chosen
from 12 finalists for the Main Street USA
recognition. Companies were judged on
their success in developing programs
that have positively impacted their operation, its returns and its positioning for
future growth, as well as job creation and
their level of involvement with the

Transfer Express, Mentor, Ohio, offers
a video on heat printing team and league
names and logos, numbers and sponsors on baseball uniforms using the Easy
View Online Designer. Called "Heat
Printing League Designs and Sponsors
on Baseball Uniforms," the video includes
an overview of the steps for choosing layouts and color, sizing transfers,
inputting sponsor names, selecting numbers and getting an instant quote on a

S&S Activewear, Bolingbrook, Illinois,
recently announced it is expanding its
national footprint with a new, state-ofthe-art, 493,000-square-foot distribution
center in Fort Worth, Texas. This new
facility, which is scheduled to open in
the fourth quarter of 2017, means the
company now operates more than 2.2
million square feet across the country.
It also adds 300 Texas jobs to a continuously growing team. The Fort Worth
location will feature all of S&S's proprietary
distribution-facility technology, which
has been one of its key drivers for success
