A jury of retail showroom design pros will evaluate the ﬁnalists and
determine the ﬁnal winner in each category, as well as the overall
Innovative Retail Showroom.

Hits and Highlights
Innovative Showroom Awards. KBIS is
hosting its ﬁrst-ever Innovative Showroom
Awards,which will honor retail showrooms
serving the kitchen and bath industry
that deliver an excellent experience at
the point of purchase. Of particular interest will be how the showroom
touches all of the senses, creating a positive shopping and buying
environment. KBIS is partnering with the Hearst Design Group (Elle
Decor, House Beautiful and Veranda) to produce the awards, which
will be announced in the South Hall-branded KBISNeXT area at KBIS on
Jan. 21 at 10:30 a.m. A gallery of all the ﬁnalists will also be on display
all three days in the KBISNeXT area.
Once nominations have been received, a public vote via Facebook
will determine the top three candidates from the following categories:
Independent Retail Showroom Locations
(1-5 showroom locations) - Small (1,000- 2,500 sq. ft.)
Independent Retail Showroom Locations
(1-5 showroom locations) - Medium (2,500 - 5,000 sq. ft.)
Independent Retail Showroom Locations
(1-5 showroom locations) - Large (5,000 sq. ft.+)
Multi Location Retail Showrooms
(6+ showroom locations) - Small (1,000- 2,500 sq. ft.)
Multi Location Retail Showrooms
(6+ showroom locations) - Medium (2,500 - 5,000 sq. ft.)
Multi Location Retail Showrooms
(6+ showroom locations) - Large (5,000 sq. ft.+)

Innovation Booth Awards. For the second
year, KBIS will honor innovative exhibitor designs
and displays. Exhibitors are invited to enter the
competition at www.kbisinnovation.com, and
their booths will be judged during the show by
a panel of representatives from the National
Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), KBIS and
other industry professionals, including the Modenus BlogTour Las
Vegas participants. New to this program is the opportunity to hear
from the best in the space and booth design business. Leading up
to the show, exhibitors will be able to learn about the most successful,
effective and innovative booth design trends.
Booths will be judged on: WOW Factor, Messaging, Education,
Engagement and the Unexpected & Unprecedented. Awards will be
given for First, Second and Third Place, and winners will receive their
award at the announcement on Center Stage in the NKBA Booth on
Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in conjunction with the Best
of KBIS Award announcements. All winners will also receive special
post-show promotional beneﬁts on KBIS.com and other KBIS digital
media platforms.

NKBA U Professional of the Year. On Jan. 20 from 12:30 - 2 p.m. on
the Center Stage in the NKBA Booth, the NKBA will announce its ﬁrstever NKBA U Professional of the Year, who will win an all-expenses-paid
trip for two to Spain, courtesy of Cosentino. According to NKBA CEO
Bill Darcy, the contest embodies the association's spirit for professional
development across the entire industry and sets a new industry
standard for excellence. Runners-up will receive all-expenses-paid trips
to tour the Kohler HQ and manufacturing facilities in Kohler, Wis., as well
as GE's Monogram Experience Center in Louisville, Ky.

Progressive KBtribechat will begin in sponsor
Wellborn Cabinet's Booth N1215, on Tuesday,
Jan. 20 at 1 p.m.; it will then move to sponsor
TOTO's Booth N1327, at 1:20 p.m.; and ﬁnally to
sponsor Cambria's Booth N915 at 1:40 p.m. The
group will chat and tweet about design trends
and innovation on the show ﬂoor. Follow along using hashtags
#kbtribechat and #kbis2015.
The KBTribechat LIVE weekly discussion will take place on Jan. 21
at Formica Group's Booth N1139 at 11 a.m.
