Established 1950, A. L. THOMPSON'S is a multimillion-dollar, privately
owned company that employs 130 staff and occupies 130,000 sq.ft. of
shopping space, importing the majority of its goods from U.S. suppliers
and holding the Cayman Islands distributorships on many brands.
SALES REPRESENTATIVE: BATH AND KITCHEN SHOWROOM
A customer-oriented salesperson with strong knowledge of plumbing
fixtures (sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, whirlpool baths, faucets, pipe)
and at least five years' experience selling, marketing, ordering, and
retailing those products, especially Kohler and other high-end lines.
Duties include direct sales to customers, specifying from architectural
drawings, soliciting business through relationships with contractors,
architects, designers, engineers, etc., fostering relationships with
vendors, maintaining inventory, and other related endeavors. Previous overseas work experience, especially in a Caribbean or Central
American country, will be an advantage. Successful candidate will also
possess exceptional communication, organizational, and customerservice skills. Position may require some travel to overseas trade
shows and training programs (based in the U.S.). Starting annual salary
range is US$45,000-$55,000, commensurate with qualifications and
experience. In addition to standard benefits, we offer training, potential
advancement, and employee-recognition programs. Successful applicant must meet immigration requirements to relocate to the Cayman
Islands on an indefinite contract.
