It's All about the
Great Outdoors
Outdoor kitchen and living spaces are a hot trend in the housing
industry right now, as homeowners are blurring the lines between
entertaining indoors and out. To highlight and support this growing
trend, several KBIS 2016 manufacturers will exhibit the latest outdoor
products being launched into the marketplace. These exhibitors will be
spread out through the North Hall, and there will be a designated area
in the South Hall where some of these products will also be on display.
Here is what you can expect to see from some of the outdoor
kitchen and living space exhibitors:
* Liebherr (Booth N463) is thrilled to be
exhibiting once again at KBIS and is
looking forward to engaging with core
industry influencers, including dealers,
designers, architects, remodelers, builders
and developers.
Liebherr will be displaying the RO 510,
a compact 24-in. outdoor undercounter
beverage/wine cooler, that can hold
meats, marinades, wine, beer and soft
drinks, as well as barbeque supplies.
It allows you to have all your ingredients close at hand and features
three glass storage shelves with stainless steel trim and two door racks
(one adjustable) with elegant retainers.
"As a specialist in refrigerators and freezers, Liebherr is consistently
developing new and innovative solutions to boost freshness, enhance
ease-of-use and save even more energy," said Josef Steigmiller, vice
president, Liebherr Refrigeration, the Americas. "We will be showcasing
a variety of fully integrated, built-in and freestanding models within the
range of refrigeration/freezer, wine, outdoor and under-the-counter
beverage centers offering consumers a greater range of customization
and added convenience."
* True Residential (Booth N663) is looking
forward to seeing the strong national crowd
and engaged audience seen the last two
years at KBIS 2014 and 2015. According to
Andrew Shead, marketing specialist at True
Manuf., "KBIS is always a fantastic venue for us
to meet with some of our most important
partners. Designers, architects and dealers
have all made time to learn about our products
while helping us understand their current and
emerging needs."
The True Dual Tap Beverage Dispenser is
ideal for the beer connoisseur and for those
who love to entertain. It uses the company's
airflow technology, ensuring a consistently
frosty, refreshing pour, and can be used indoors or outside on the patio.
"Many of our customers are spending as much on their outdoor
kitchen as they are on their indoor kitchen," said Shead. "Many of the

outdoor spaces we're included in have every amenity that a typical
indoor kitchen would have, including sinks, prep stations, elaborate
grills and cooking appliances - as well as multiple refrigerators."
* Grill Dome (Booth S4099) is looking forward to
introducing KBIS to the world of ceramic grills and
the Grill Dome line - and having some fun during
the show! The company will feature its new custom
color skus, including the GD-SSXL, GD-DRXL and
GDXL-CC, shown here on a Domemobile.
"Customization is definitely key as consumers are
becoming more advanced grillers and are looking
for certain key setups and control mechanisms,"
said Ashish Kohli, Grill Dome's president.

* The Virginia Tech FutureHAUS Bath will feature integrated smart
technology designed to change the approach to how we construct
buildings and make operating in the bath more effective. This show
feature will be centrally located in the South Hall in Booth S5133.
* Retail Observer magazine and KBIS have teamed up to create an
Outdoor Products Pavilion in the South Hall. Designers, architects
and dealers will be able to source outdoor products for one of the
hottest trends in the industry - outdoor kitchens.
* Welcome to the debut of Design Bites - quick, three-minute
presentations in which exhibitors will have the opportunity to "speed
date" with media and attendees about their most innovative product.
Up to seven kitchen companies will present on January 19th and
seven bath companies on January 20th.
* There will be a Happy Hour at the KBISNeXT Stage on Tuesday and
Wednesday, Jan. 19&20, from 4 to 5 p.m.
