KBIS 2017: YOUR INDUSTRY EVENT

s a professional in the kitchen and bath design
industry, I'm guessing you take great pride in your
work and accomplishments. You have probably
worked long and hard to create a successful business or move up the corporate ladder.You are driven, customer focused and committed to your craft.
Perhaps you are a member of the National
Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and attend local networking events to stay connected within your market. Clearly
you are on top of your game, as you read every issue of KBB (shameless plug)
to stay on top of design trends and new products. You are well known and
respected in your market, and business is the best it has been in years. If this
describes you, congratulations! You are a true leader in our industry.
Even if this doesn't describe you, could it? Or should it?
The key to longevity in any business is to stay ahead of the curve in terms
of certification, product knowledge and the latest trends. That said, what

an NKBA member, I would strongly encourage you to consider joining

recently outlined its new mission, vision and core
values for the kitchen and bath industry. You can

If you haven't already, you should consider attending YOUR industry event - the Kitchen and
Bath Industry Show - January 10-12, 2017, in
Orlando. Once again, we are co-locating with the
International Builders' Shows for the 4th-annual
Design & Construction Week.® This gathering
of nearly 100,000 people is literally the largest for
residential builders, architects, designers, remodelers, retailers and showroom professionals in this
hemisphere. With one million net square feet
of exhibit space and well over 2,000 exhibiting
brands, there is simply no better place to see what
is new in our industry.
In the coming months, we will highlight in
the pages of KBB just a sampling of what you
can expect to see at KBIS in terms of education
- both on and off the floor - product launches,
special events and new feature areas.Whether this
is your first time attending KBIS or your 53rd, I
can assure you that you will walk away ready to
tackle the challenges of the day. Our number one
goal is to give you, our attendees, a one-of-a-kind

Just recently, the Wall Street Journal predicted
a sharp increase in new kitchen and bath renovations in the coming years. Many of those are
expected to be what most would classify as large
projects. As an industry, we are no doubt poised
to capitalize on this trend. However, as a design
professional - now more than ever - you need to
invest in your business and your staff. I hope that
you will consider KBIS your industry event and
a critical part of your long-term growth strategy.
