According to designer Linc Thelen, the main goal was to create a space that embodied the classical, Beaux-Arts architecture of the 1927 structure. "This building exudes a stately feeling from the moment you walk through the door, but this home had gone through a pretty bad 80s renovation, and it needed to be restored to its 1920s glory," he explained."The plastered moldings and walls were cracked, the fireplace needed to be restored, and the floors needed refinishing." 55
