This installation of brass, copper and stainless steel
was created by Laguna Beach artist Larry Gill. The artist
creates contemporary water features and sculptures,
often using light and water as part of the aesthetic.
It's wonderful to see how color plays with this heavy
brass sculpture, Larry said, "I like this contemporary
piece even better today; a lot of it has to do with what the brass does in time,
the patina."

Ceramic Relief Mural

"Our primary resource for us was the native environment around Laguna Beach,"
said Scott Schoenherr. The ceramic relief offers a three-dimensional aspect to the
colorful piece that vibrantly captures the essence of the local habitat, from the
beach to the canyon - a true representation of Laguna's beauty.

Three carved granite figures
representing everyman,
everywoman and youth, sit
surrounding an inlaid granite
disk with a black polished
obelisk in the center. As the
sun moves, the obelisk casts
a shadow like a sundial on
words representing the
aspirations of the community.
