Laguna Beach artist Andrew Myers said of his work,
"As an artist I try to capture the true essentials of life.
I am dedicated to putting the true expression of my
subject matter into life." The bronze sculpture is a
combination of different people the artist knows in
Laguna Beach. "It's a blend of a lot of people very
dear to me," Andrew said. "I pull a lot of inspiration
from people and situations that I've been in and the
feelings that I've had." Andrew hopes viewers of his
work somehow connect to it.

"The Discussion"

Ralph said, "A sculptor is a
person who is interested in the
shape of things, one who is
compelled by the form and
shape of everything. I try to
depict my pieces as a moment,
frozen in time and space,
figures that have withdrawn
from the present into a more
quiet place." The artist appreciates the sculpture's location, "I
enjoy looking at all the people;
it's a hub, where the city is right
there."

"Streamline Bench"

Artist Designed Bench

The "Streamline Bench" is made of cast
glass, concrete, and stainless steel.
Constructed of a concrete seating area
the stainless steel band trimming complements the attractive five cast glass
elements. Viewers enjoy how the natural
light enhances the glass elements.
